The Healthy Food Bank

Precision Nutrition, one of my favorite nutritional sites and seller of some of the best nutritional books and programs, has started a non-profit organization called the Healthy Food Bank. The goal of this organization is to provide healthy food, such as fruits, vegetables, and whole grains, to need people in North America.

The following is from the email that I received from Precision Nutrition on the Healthy Food Bank:

As a result, for the last year, the entire Precision
Nutrition team and I have spent a lot of time thinking about
how we can help bridge “the gap.”

What gap?

The gap between those who buy and eat the best
foods . . .

. . . and those who can barely afford to buy any
food at all.

In the end, we came up with something we’re very proud of:

The Healthy Food Bank.

Precision Nutrition is offering to donate 10% of the sales from their Gourmet Nutrition cookbook to the Healthy Food Bank until May 9. I have the first version of this book, and it is excellent. I plan to pick up version 2 during this offer.

Do they have cat in their database? Cause, we are going to eat cat for midsummer, and one of the guys are wondering about the nutritional values. I think he’s on a diet, like, Atkins or something.

A healthy food bank is a very cool idea. I hope it does well.
